I’ve been doing Eve-itis all week long. So a fantastic way to get my weekend started with a reminder and encouragement. Thank you so much. I’m very impressed with your writing and sharing the Bible with everyone!😘💗
Haven’t we all? 🫣 Give yourself some grace for it, and just keep fighting to do better. I am so thankful for the encouragement and support! Thank you! Love you 🩷
Okay…that was phenomenal!!! I love all of that and can relate so much! Thank you so much for diving in and sharing that with us. Keep the good stuff coming, Sis! I love you!!
Awww 🥰 thanks so much!! I needed that encouragement more than you know! This whole sharing my writing business puts me in a vulnerable place and I get a bit insecure at time. Just a bit 🤏🏼 So, thanks for reading! I’m glad you enjoyed it! I love you! 💕
Life is hard, Sis. But you know what? Mine is much better with you it!! You know I’ll always swing my sword for you. Fighting with you, love! 😘So thankful for you and love that you’re a part of this with me. Thanks for reading! 🩷
This is such a fresh way to look at Eve. I’ve shared the sentiment that I’ve been judgmental of her, but yes, we all have Eve in us! Sometimes it’s hard to relate to Biblical women, because they’re painted in a picture that they are graceful, kind, and wonderful all the time. But nobody feels any of those all the time. We all have our teeth, and everyone has more Eve in them than we probably want to admit. But that doesn’t make us bad people. People made mistakes, just like Eve. And I don’t think that makes us inherently bad people. We’re all human, and I think this was a beautiful way to send that message!
Thank you, sweetheart. I agree. We are all going to make mistake and mess up. Daily. That’s why grace is so important. We have to stop trying to fake perfection and focus on progress instead. I really think that that’s how we grow as women and as Christians. Extend grace to each other but also ourselves. And for me, that’s the hardest part- extending it to myself. Trying to do better
Eveitis. Fight this every day. Thank you for the Retha’s the victory comes in God’s truth and He provides what we need to be a warrior and have victories. Sometimes I think I am just too lazy to utilize the armor He so willingly gives me
I wouldn’t say lazy… that sounds too negative. I think it’s important to give the enemy a little credit for his crafty ways and then we just must try to detect his schemes when the start. It’s not laziness. It’s difficult to suit up all day every day and the enemy is going to attack when we least expect it. That’s why this community is so important to me. We can help each other armor up when it’s tough. We will come out with the win, in the end!
Chris and I heard recently that Eve, being that she walked with God daily, should have recognized it wasn’t from God-not his voice. (My sheep will know my voice) And, being that Adam was right there with her and took the apple from her, should have known it wasn’t from God. But, I have to say even though I am closer to God than I ever have been, eveitis gets me far too often. Great message!!!
I don’t think that she thought God was the one that she was speaking to. She even kind of defended God and His word a little bit in verse 3. She knew exactly what God spoke… but she fell victim to the sneaky schemes of the enemy. She let him place little seeds of doubt in her mind and then decided that she wanted the wisdom (vs 6) that could be gained by eating the fruit. I think she knew what she was doing but she had no idea the impact it would have. She got tricked. And the same still applies today. I can’t begin to count the times the devil will twist thoughts around in my own mind. It’s crazy how good he is at it… but also he has always been a master manipulator and now has thousands of years of practice under his belt. So there is no doubt that he has it perfected and it’s a full fledged war for us all daily…. So glad you liked it! I enjoyed writing this one and am definitely a defender of Eve now!
I have to agree with you. She absolutely was tricked and Adam, who knew better as well and was right there didn’t do anything to stop her or shut up the enemy. I have always believed Eve was and is wrongly accused of the fall. They both were involved-only she spoke. Makes me think of the adulteress who was brought to Jesus. Where was the man?? Gonna stop my tirade.
Hahaha I love it! But it definitely was not all on Eve. She definitely gets a bad reputation for it, but we all fall victim to the same thing. Eve-itis is a very real thing.

This was so powerful ! It had me have tears rolling down my cheeks ! I just want to live a normal life with love and compassion for God !
Just need to watch out for the enemy 🙏
I am so glad that it was meaningful and that it moved you to tears. The enemy is always lurking around BUT God is always victorious. Sure do miss you!
